Gender Equity & DEI

As a dedicated Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) specialist, my professional journey is centered on fostering inclusive workplaces and driving behavioral change. My exploration of gender dynamics is showcased in the impactful series “Dear India Inc.”, which delves into the experiences of women in corporate settings, addressing the biases and challenges they face while highlighting their contributions and resilience.

As a trainer, I contribute to DEI programs and legal compliance initiatives for organizations, with a focus on Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH), Conduct and Culture standards, neurodiversity inclusion, and tackling unconscious biases. My work includes creating films on these critical topics, with trailers available on this website. These films serve as powerful tools to educate and inspire change within corporate environments.

Beyond the corporate realm, I harness the transformative power of storytelling through various mediums, including podcasts, social media, and my work as a broadcast journalist. I address issues such as ageism, ableism, and LGBTQ+ inclusion, striving to amplify underrepresented voices and challenge societal norms.

Additionally, my commitment to fostering change is embodied in the “Not That Different” movement, which advocates for neurodiversity inclusion. Through workshops, content creation, and strategic initiatives, I aim to build workplaces that embrace diversity holistically, ensuring that every individual’s unique experiences and abilities are acknowledged, respected, and celebrated.

Dear India Inc.

Dear India Inc. is a series on BQ Prime that explores the chachallenges womence in corporates in India. It is a data driven show that mirrors issues stemming from gender bias and discrimination. Women often encounter unequal treatment in terms of pay, promotions, and leadership opportunities. They face prejudice and stereotyping, leading to limited career growth. Add to it lack of work-life balance, as women are expected to juggle multiple roles and responsibilities, often without adequate support systems. Maternity policies and the absence of flexible work options can further hinder their professional development. The series also looks at microaggressions and workplace harassment, both subtle and overt and how it stops women from growing.
