Diversity & Inclusion

As a devoted Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) specialist, my professional journey revolves around cultivating inclusive workplaces and behavior. My in-depth exploration of gender dynamics is encapsulated in the compelling series “Dear India Inc.,” that talks about women in corporates and the biases they deal with. As a trainer I contribute to legal compliance and DEI programs for corporates, focusing on Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) and Conduct and Culture standards neurodiversity inclusion and unconscious biases on which I have also written films trailers of which can be seen on this website. Beyond the corporate realm, I leverage the power of storytelling through podcasts, social media and also as a broadcast journalist addressing issues such as ageism, ableism, and LGBTQ inclusion. Additionally, my commitment to fostering change extends to the “NOT that different” movement, advocating for neurodiversity inclusion. Through workshops, content creation and strategy I aim to create workplaces that embrace diversity comprehensively, ensuring that every individual’s unique experiences are valued and respected.

Dear India Inc.

Dear India Inc. is a series on BQ Prime that explores the challenges women face in corporates in India. It is a data driven show that mirrors issues stemming from gender bias and discrimination. Women often encounter unequal treatment in terms of pay, promotions, and leadership opportunities. They face prejudice and stereotyping, leading to limited career growth. Add to it lack of work-life balance, as women are expected to juggle multiple roles and responsibilities, often without adequate support systems. Maternity policies and the absence of flexible work options can further hinder their professional development. The series also looks at microaggressions and workplace harassment, both subtle and overt and how it stops women from growing.
